If you come from Siena you must drive along the Cassia (Statal Street 12) in the Rome direction.
After Buonconvento, only few kilometres distant, you will find on the right the street for Montalcino.
If you come from Grosseto, you must drive for Siena Grosseto as far as Paganico and continue in direction of Montalcino.

If you come from Autostrada del Sole (A1 Motorway) exit at Chiusi Chianciano or Bettolle.
Keep on driving in direction of Siena until Torrenieri where is the street to Monatalcino.
