The castle of Beviglie (370 m. a.s.l.) lies upon the hills that stretch from torrent Tescio (just north of Assisi) to torrent Chiascio, delimiting a stretch of the Umbria valley. Its medieval structure, well kept through the centuries, represents a typical example of the county of Assisi, with the buildings strictly contained into the regular-shaped town walls, just like the castle of S.Gregorio and Tordibetto.
Beviglie belongs to a genre of castle built on eminences. It has one entrance door in travertine and a door situated on the west side, with a pointed arch above. The east side, with its cylindrical towers, is also well kept, while the north side was raised down.
From here a road starts, which leads to an old farm-house made of stone. Dating back to the 19th century, it has been recently renewed, though keeping unchanged the characteristic features of that age. The house is situated on a promontory looking over Assisi, 450 m. a.s.l., about 1 km far from the medieval castle of Tordibetto, 4 km from Assisi, 24 km from Perugia, 32 km from Gubbio, 35 km from lake Trasimeno, 60 km from Todi. The estate covers some 128 hectares, of which 28 are under vine. Renieri is located in the southern part of the Montalcino district, facing Monte Amiata. The vineyards are planted at about 400 meters and enjoy an almost 360% exposure, from east to northwest.

This charming apartment is on the third floor of a 14th -century building featuring a medieval tower dating back to 1200. The result of a skilful restoration is one only unit. The building lies in Via Banchi di Sotto 8, under the andamp;ldquo;Croce del Travaglioandamp;rdquo; where according to tradition the andamp;ldquo;Capitaniandamp;rdquo; of the contrade meet to settle their controversies.
Entering a big ogival door typical of the Middle Ages an ancient staircase leads into the house. A spacious hall covered with handmade cotto tiles, a wall with the tower stones. Two original andamp;ldquo;cenciandamp;rdquo; are hanging on the opposite wall and a spiral staircase leads to the sitting room and a room with small bathroom and closet.

The structure has been built in a characteristic medieval village, near Suio thermal baths. This village is dotted by cold, thermal, hyperthermal and highly therapeutic waters.
The Romans called them andamp;ldquo;acquae Vescinaeandamp;rdquo; and used them for their pools and thermal baths whose remains can be seen in the so called Vasca di Nerone.
